Easy Goat Meat Recipe for Dashain
Goat Curry Recipe
1 kg goat meat cut into 1and half inch pieces
1 stick cinnamon
2 teaspoonful coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 cardamom pods, crushed
1 black cardamom pod, crushed
2 dried red chillies soaked in hot water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
Salt to taste
Take mutton in a bowl.
Heat the pan and toast dried spices like coriander, cumin, pepper, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom pods for 2-3 minutes.
Place the toasted spices into mortar and pestle and grind those spices into powder.
Prepare chilli paste by grinding the rinsed chilli in mortar and pestle.
Take a bowl and add oil, garlic, ginger, chilli paste, powder spices and salt. Mix them well.
Pour this mixture over mutton and rub the mutton well with this spice mixture.
Cover the spice rubbed khasi ko masu and leave it for at least 30 minutes to marinate. (It would be better if you can refrigerate it for one night.)
Take the marinated meat in a saucepan. Cook this meat uncovered by stirring it now and then till the meat boils. It should take 7-8 minutes.
Cover the meat and continue cooking till the pieces become delicate and juices get absorbed.
Serve khasiko masu with fresh vegetables, pickles and rice.
(Note: You can also use yogurt to marinate goat and prepare goat curry.)
